About the Owner of Salty Vixen Stories & More:

Hello my lovelies! I hope you are having a lovely day today! - that is Salty Vixen's famous tagline. I will explain why I chose "Salty Vixen" For my brand & Pen Name.

Rachel, founder of Salty Vixen Stories & More, talking with King Charles, then the Prince of Wales in 2004 in England

Now you know what Salty Vixen Stories and more is (saltyvixenstories.com) How did the name "Salty Vixen" Come to be? First I want to say, England is like my 2nd home, I am forever thankful for the kindness people had shown me in the polo era of 2004. Before I came to England, in the states, growing up, I was bullied, low self-esteem, I kept that in me for years and overcame it all as I grew older. When I came to England and got to know the polo group, they were kind to me, treated me like a Lady, and for the first time I felt happy and alive. My low self-esteem was gone. It was because of them I am who I am today. Those memories is what kept me going. The one negative thing that happened, it was a moment and the story behind it, I will keep that private as I forgave him. Forgiveness is the best way to move on from that.

I first coined the words "Salty Vixen" on 18 June 2004 when I was a Vixen in a Salty Situation- meaning, I was sexually assaulted on a polo field in England at 10:45 PM (the person who did it, did not play polo)  . I couldn't report it as I didn't know what to do- I was in shock what happened.

My female friend told me, because I am a woman or known as part of the 'polo girls', it is his word against mine- and since I am woman, nobody would believe me. Why? Because media has made the stereotype, that women come to polo to meet the Royals when in reality most of us women show up because we like the sport.

I have forgiven him as years went by. Although it is in the past, the past is what made me strong. Made me turn the negative "Vixen in a Salty situation" into a positive and thus, Salty Vixen was born. The personality I created for Salty Vixen, comes from a person who was always kind to me, It is my way of keeping positive and confidence. Although one negative thing happened that summer, didn't ruin the rest of the wonderful time I had hanging out with the kindest people I ever met.

Salty Vixen means strong, confident, female empowerment and Salty Vixen is me.

I created Salty Vixen Stories & More Website as a one-stop shop for anything. This website is written by a woman, it is a woman's voice.

I have supported Sentebale (2013-2016)  a charity that helps children and adolescents struggling to come to terms with their HIV status. It provides a safe environment for them to address their mental health amongst their peers, giving them tools and knowledge. I attended the Opening of the Mamohato's Children's Centre in Lesotho, South Africa, November 2015. I have also supported Centrepoint Charity in 2013 in London , England.

I was asked recently who inspired me, There have been so many people over the years who inspired me, including my family,  Prince Harry.,  and many others I met over the years. People we meet in life happens for a reason. You learn something from them and grow as a person. What I learned from Harry was, to always be true to yourself, be kind to others.

me, Salty Vixen & Prince Harry 25 July 2004 at China White After Polo Party- Harry and I were chatting not dancing. Yes stupid paps took the photo. and it was in several tabloids 🙁

That night at China White After Polo Party 25 July 2004 (Cartier International Polo), when I first met and spoke to him, I never met someone who spoke with so much passion and he worked so hard to make the charities what they are today. I was that shy girl who showed up to Polo one day, and the rest is history. Harry is a lovey person I will always support him. I was never a royal fan of anyone. I respect him and his brother. I will say this, I do look up to him, I don't think Harry knew how many people over the years, he inspired, to never give up on your passions; to always speak up and have a voice.
