Best Birthday Ever
My honey made my 20th birthday the best birthday ever to be remembered. I was so miserable because I had to work from 4pm until 12 midnight but he completely turned my mood around. He showed up at my job just when I was going on half hour break with balloons and 21 beautiful red roses. Twenty roses for my age and one just to show he cared… He then took me out to dinner at a romantic restaurant and had all the waiters sing happy birthday to me… While embarrassed at the time, I really did appreciate what he did. But the night was not over, when I got home(we live together) he had candles all over the house and rose petals all over the floor and bed… He then gave me a full body massage with body oil and the rest, well let’s say we didn’t get much sleep…

Birthday Balloons
It was my boyfriend’s 18th birthday I didn’t have a lot of money, but I wanted to get him something he’d like. I went out to the store and bought a couple of balloons. I made sure one said happy birthday. Then I went and got him 18 lottery tickets. I punched holes in the top corner of each lottery ticket and attached them to the strings of the balloon. He really loved it. He said it was the best present he ever got.

Birthday Cake
December 13th is my boyfriend’s birthday and he invited me to dinner with his family at a restaurant. He didn’t know that I had a gift for him; I bought a chocolate cake and sliced it into halves, then In the center of the cake, I put the watch I bought him for his birthday. I put the cake back together just like it was originally and brought it to the restaurant with me. At the restaurant, his sister and I asked for a slice of cake, and when he cut it, he found the watch and cried out in surprise … even his family was surprised!

Birthday Cards On The Hour
I always used to surprise my girlfriend with lots and lots of gifts on her birthday. This birthday when she turned 21, I gave her 21 special greeting cards handwritten on every hour. We almost spent 20 hours that day together watching movies and every hour I gave her a card and showed her my love. She was very excited!

Birthday Delivery
Even though my boyfriend had to work on his birthday, I wanted to make sure he knew it was still a special day. I wanted to do something so that everyone at his office would know how special he is, but sending flowers seemed kind of girly. So, I drove over to his favorite coffee shop and bought a pound of his favorite kind of coffee. Next, I stopped by a bagel shop and bought a couple dozen gourmet bagels and spreads. Then, I decorated the whole thing with curly string and a birthday card and delivered the works to the front desk at his office. I sped off to make it seem more like a delivery (like how flowers get delivered). Everyone inside got a nice treat for the morning, and they were all happy to help him celebrate his birthday. In the middle of the day, I met him for lunch and took him out to his favorite restaurant. When we got back to his office, I kissed him good-bye and pretended to drive off. A minute or two later, when I figured he was safely tucked behind his desk once again, I returned and delivered a couple dozen homemade cupcakes. He came home in a really great mood and said that everyone at work loved the surprises. I think you could do the same thing with pizza for lunch or something, too. Just something so that you know the whole office will appreciate your sweetheart on his/her special day.

Birthday Dinner And A Party
I met my boyfriend a little over 2 years ago and for the first birthday we would spend together I wanted it to be extra special. 2 months before his birthday I bought a Journal with Superman on the cover. For each day that went by for the next 2 months I wrote a journal entry of our days, why I love him and the fun times we had. I dedicated pages to how we met, to our little quotes and sayings, and to the reasons why I loved him. I also included intimate experiences, drunken times, and sad times. The day of his birthday, my roommate and I baked 2 huge cakes for his party that was to be the next day. She then left and I began cooking the dinner for that night. I prepared lobster, Linguini with a wine sauce and scallops and for dessert: pears cooked in red wine with a chocolate glaze. It was delicious and he was quite impressed. We then danced to our favorite song went to the bedroom where I had a blue rose waiting for him and the book. He was so moved by the book he actually cried – which was all that was needed to show his appreciation. The rest is left to the imagination but we ended the night very late with fruits and whipped cream in bed. The next day my friend came over to take him away to hang out for his birthday – during that time, I went to his house to prepare for the party I was throwing for him. About 40 of his friends showed up and we surprised him. When he walked into the house, he just stood still in shock until he spotted me on the couch and yelled, “YOU!” – the rest of the night was a great party with great cake. Until this day – 2 years later, he still remembers it as the best day and birthday ever and the best gift he has ever had.

Birthday Festival Week
My boyfriend and I go to separate colleges, (this happened in 2000, one of my favorite memories!!!!) about 4 hours away from each other. The week before his birthday was my Spring Break (his was the following week), so I chose to drive to his school and give him a Birthday Festival Week. The Sunday night (7 days before his birthday) was “Favorite Movie Night”: I borrowed the movie, and we watched it along with popcorn, afterwards, we listened to a CD

I burned for him, and had written out all the lyrics. Monday night was “Childhood Night”: I bought a Hot Wheels (he loves cars) and Barbie coloring book, and a pack of crayons, and we sat down to color and play. After a while, I gave him a packet I made of “Things to Do” (ex. go to the zoo, go camping, etc). Tuesday night was “Nintendo Night” (a great surprise for him, as I hate playing Nintendo). Wednesday was “Massage Night,” where I gave him an hour-long massage.

On Thursday night, his roommates and I threw him surprise birthday party (I had baked a cake earlier while he was in class, and we left the dorm to walk around and look at the stars as his roommates decorated and guests arrived). He was completely surprised! He hadn’t had a real birthday cake since he was 12, and the theme of the party was “Hot Wheels” from the kid section at Party City. On Friday, we both drove back to our hometown and went to the Andretti Speed Lab, and then Saturday was “His Choice Day” to do whatever he wanted … we went to see a comedy improv. show. That Sunday was his birthday, and we spent the day at a car show, and then drove back up to my school, where we went to Trivia Night and then, after the long day, bed! He completely loved the whole week and was surprised and so grateful for all the thought put into it!

Birthday Getaway
It was his birthday and I wanted to do something special for him. He had never flown before, so I bought us two tickets to Atlanta and on his birthday I flew us there to have dinner. We returned home that same night. He said it was his best birthday ever.

Birthday Kidnap
My fiancé’s birthday was coming up and I couldn’t think of anything special to do. We’ve done the candlelight dinner thing and all the picnic things, etc. Anyway, I got this idea to kidnap him. I wrote a ransom letter invitation that said, “If you ever want to see your b-day present, meet me at … come alone!” I pasted it from newspaper clippings on a huge black poster. So, he met me there, and I was all prepared with some handcuffs, a FAKE gun, and a bandanna. I covered his eyes and cuffed his hands (in front of him) and off we went. Obviously he didn’t know what was going on, but I ended up taking him to dinner on the beach followed by dancing. It was one of the most memorable nights we have had together. 🙂 He really liked the kidnap thing. Just be careful that you don’t really look like you are kidnapping him… you don’t really want to spend the night in jail!
