People pay for that! I wouldn’t pay that much and you shouldn’t either.
I have known people who paid a lot of money to get their book edited and turns out the edit was awful 🙁 . Paying a lot of money doesn’t always mean a great editing job.
Here at Salty Vixen Stories & More, we have a bookstore that authors can publish their books and we also have an editing service. The editing service can be for your books to be published on Salty Vixen Stories & More eBook Store or can be used anywhere, including Amazon.
We also convert your book into PDF and ePub formats. ePub is what many bookstores are using. To edit your book into the rite font (Times New Roman 12 point font is the standard for eBooks (and school/university papers).
When people submit their books to Salty Vixen Stories & More to publish , I have to sometimes correct the font and I will send the author the correction / updated book. Most bookstores won’t tell you what font to write in. When I first started publishing on Amazon KDP, I was using Times New Roman 14 font for everything, not realizing, once the reader reads my book, the font is too big on the Kindle!
Why do I charge cheap fees? We don’t think people should charge a lot to get your book edited. This website is ran by one person, and the owner takes time editing the books. We hope in the future to hire editors, but for now, each author, who sends our book to edit (and/ or have their books published on your bookstore) , we treat the authors like family. That is how it should be.
