Forgiveness Proposal
One day last year, I heard that my boyfriend had been cheating on me with another girl. We got into a huge fight and I wouldn’t talk to him. He tried to call me, but I wouldn’t answer, so he left a message on my machine. He said that he really didn’t cheat on me, and that an ex-girlfriend had just been spreading rumors to make me jealous. He told me to come outside. I walked out my front door, and there in the snow, completely covering my front lawn were rose petals. In the middle was a circle of candles with my boyfriend standing within. He came over to me and he took my hand and told me how sorry he was that he caused me pain. Then he kissed me, just a peck on the cheek. He told me that it was for his feelings about his ex-girlfriend. Then he kissed me long and passionately, and told me that that was for his love for me. He brought me to the center of the ring of candles, and proposed to me. We kissed until all of the candles had burned out and it was completely dark. I thought it was a really sweet way for him to apologize. I found out later that he really didn’t cheat on me, and today we’re engaged.

Fortune Cookie Proposal
JD and I had been together for almost two years when I came home from my first year of college. He offered to take me out to dinner to celebrate and asked where I would like to go. My favorite restaurant makes Chinese and Japanese food and is called the Tokyo-Mandarin. It’s a lot farther away from us than other places, so it’s a treat to get to go there. We ate our dinner and I was upset by the fortune cookie I received because the wrapper looked like it had been opened. I looked across the table and JD had this huge smile and tried to play dumb, asking me, “What’s wrong?” I took off the wrapper and I saw a diamond peeking out of the corner of the fortune cookie!! By the time I broke it open, he was down on one knee in front of me. He took the ring from me, told me how much he loved me and asked if I would marry him. I couldn’t say anything! Later, I asked him how he got the ring inside a fortune cookie. He explained: sprinkle a little bit of water on the cookie then zap it in the microwave for a few seconds. Hurry up to put the ring inside and close it before it hardens. It may take a few tries, but it is worth it!

Fortune Cookie Proposal II
My boyfriend and I had been dating for 1 1/2 years. March 9th was his 22nd birthday so the both of us along with our closest friends went to the Chinese restaurant that we all used to go to when we were in high school. During our high school years, we would go out to dinner on everyone’s birthday and open each other’s fortune cookie. Each person would open the fortune cookie of the person to their right and read it to them. Well, on the night of my boyfriend’s birthday, we all sat at a huge round table and I started this traditional fortune cookie reading. This meant that my boyfriend would be reading mine at the end of the others. It got to my turn and my boyfriend opened my fortune cookie in my hand and on the fortune, he read an excerpt from Shakespeare and asked me to marry him! I couldn’t believe my ears! I totally didn’t expect it because it was his birthday! We have now been married for 2 years.

Frosty’s Proposal
After a good snow, go out and build a snowman together. Start piecing together the snowman. Keep her occupied with other things while you put on the face. Then slide the ring on the end of the snowman’s nose (carrot). Once you have the face arranged ask her to come over and look at it. She will see the ring. Then slide it off the carrot and slide it on to her finger while bending down on one knee!!

Funny Proposal
My fiancee and I met couple of years ago at a party, then shortly after, he traveled. We kept in touch over the Internet. He came back at Christmas time on the 14th of December (his birthday) so, I prepared him a little surprise. We went out to dinner in a very romantic place. After the dinner, the waitresses came by with a cake and when they were done singing Happy Birthday to him, one of them said, “And because it is your engagement night we will sing “Love Me Tender.” I looked at them and told them it wasn’t our engagement night. Well, my fiancée got mad because he had planned to propose to me before they started singing (he had set this up with them). It was so funny and I don’t think we will ever forget that night! We promised that each year, if we could, we would go back there to remember that night.

Guess What’s for Dinner…
I had hinted to my guy that I wanted a diamond ring for quite some time, but soon gave up the idea because I understand his financial situation. He was still in the army, which paid little. One night, at his house, he cooked noodles for us. When I was eating, he came up from behind and said that he cooked something else too. I thought he had cooked eggs as I remembered that he cooks eggs sometimes with noodles. The plate had a cover on it and when I took it off, there was a white box on it. I was shocked that he was willing to fork out that much of money to make me happy. It was the diamond ring that I had been eyeing. What he said next was most touching; he told me that he didn’t have much money but he was willing to spend it all on me. I practically melted. The moment was made more touching as he was preparing to leave for training in Australia the next day. Guys are not really romantic at times, but my guy comes out tops!

Hangman Proposal
I was just thinking of a cool way to propose to someone. You can just be hanging out and play hangman with your lover. When it’s your turn to make the message, have the answer say “Will you marry me?” When they guess it, pull the ring out of your pocket and propose.

He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not Proposal
This is a story I heard on the radio once and it won my heart. A gentleman took a large daisy to his girlfriend one casual afternoon and insisted she pluck off each petal saying out loud “He loves me, He loves me not.” The last petal she plucked left her on “He loves me not.” She looked at him and shrugged her shoulders and handed it back. The man then got down on one knee, pulled a ring box out of his pocket, and held it up to her. When she opened the box she found a beautiful diamond ring slipped around the last daisy petal.

Heart of Hearts
This is an idea that I JUST thought of. What you guys (or non old-fashioned girls) can do to give them the perfect romantic proposal is as you’re walking to go somewhere say, “Oh, I forgot something in the car I was going to give you before we left.” Then come back with roses and a giant heart-shaped box of chocolates and a note saying, “Our love so sweet and true will always lie in the heart of our hearts.” Then, when she opens the box, have the middle chocolate removed and replaced with the engagement ring. Then, get down on your knees and propose. I think she’d like that one.

Hershey’s Park in Winter
My fiancé and I always take a yearly trip to Hershey’s Park in the winter to see the park in lights. We walk around the park and each get a hot chocolate and sit by the huge illuminated tree they call the “Kissmas Tree.” This is where he popped the question to me! It was so wonderful, the lights all around and the season is just so romantic. He caught me by complete surprise and I loved it! Now we can celebrate that moment each year.

Hide and Seek Proposal
My boyfriend and I have been together since we were in the 9th grade. We are now currently sophomores in college. Every year since we have been going out on my birthday, he takes me out to dinner and then sends me on a treasure hunt. The treasure hunt takes me all around town until I get to the one spot where the surprise is. It is always something creative and fun, but this year at the spot there was a huge box that was taller then me. When I started unwrapping it the boxes got smaller and smaller. There were probably like 30-40 boxes. When I got to the last box, I opened it and found two plane tickets to Greece (my favorite country in the world) and a piece of paper that said turn around. He was standing behind me with something behind his back. He walked up got on one knee and asked me to marry him! It was the best birthday present ever and the trip was amazing. What started out as a game of treasure hunt turned into the best moment of my life!

Hollywood Sign Proposal
If your girlfriend likes the outdoors this is perfect. This would be my dream proposal, but I can’t tell my boyfriend how to propose. Go hiking up to the top of the Hollywood sign. It is absolutely beautiful up there and on a clear day you can see the ocean. Propose from the top of the mountain. I guarantee it will take her breath away, and she’ll have the most amazing view with an entire city at her feet.

Home Run Proposal
My boyfriend of 2 years and I both played on a softball league together. During one of our games, I hit the ball and made it to first base, where the baseman had a note painted on his mitt saying, “Will.” When I made it to 2nd, that guy’s mitt said, “You.” The 3rd said “Marry,” and when I made it to home base, the catcher’s (who was my boyfriend), mitt said “Me?” – and in it was a ring. I started crying, while the pitcher was yelling, “Strike one, two, three…,” – before he said you’re out, I said, “I’m in!” It was a softball game to remember!
