Proposal Hunt
This is my idea, and I’m probably going to use within the year… First, I talk to her boss at work, and arrange to have her scheduled for a day when she doesn’t really have to work. When she shows up that day, her boss tells her they don’t need her and she can go home, but hands her a note (from me) which is the start of a series of poetic clues. The gist of it is the first clue indicates she should go to the place where we first met (cab fare included with this clue). When she gets there, the second clue hints at the place we had our first dance (keys to a car included with this clue). When she gets there, she finds another clue hinting at the place we had our first kiss. At the end, the last clue sends her to her favorite outdoor spot, where she will find a toy shovel and uses a treasure map drawn on the back of the clue to dig up a treasure chest jewelry box, containing the engagement ring. When she gets it up and finds the ring, I come up behind her, drop to one knee and tell her she is my treasure, and ask her to be my wife.

Proposal Intermission
I actually helped a friend with his proposal. Knowing that his girlfriend’s favorite movie was “My Fair Lady.” We made a copy of the movie, and about 30 minutes into it we added our own scene. I recorded a scene of him sitting on the couch where they’d be watching the movie, dressed in the same clothes he’d be wearing on the day he proposed. In the scene, he said that he knew that she loved the movie, and hoped she wouldn’t mind if he interrupted. While the onscreen version asked her to marry him, he was patting his pockets (play acting), looking for the ring, but didn’t find it. So his “onscreen character” asked him while he was on the couch if he had the ring, at which point he pulled it out and presented it to her. Since the proposal is on tape, it’s a memory that they have forever.

Proposal Lights
This happened at the beginning of our relationship. We were good friends but whenever I tried to propose to her, she would just ignore it. So I got an idea. One night, exactly at 12 midnight, I called her and asked her to look out of her window. She was surprised to see the apartment lights on the opposite side turned on to form “I LOVE YOU.” Earlier that day in the afternoon, I went to the apartment building manager and asked him to turn on lights of different apartment windows which eventually would form I LOVE YOU. Since all the other lights were turned off, it was a magical moment. The next day she said yes to my proposal.

Proposal On The Expressway
My sister, Blaunch, was not yet ready to get married to her boyfriend, but one day when we were driving along the expressway, our attention was caught by a billboard stating, “Blaunch, will you marry me? I love you so much… from Luis”. She quickly called her boyfriend on her phone and said, “Yes, yes, yes!”

Proposal Overseas
My boyfriend, Damon gave me the most romantic night in my life. He took me away on the weekend of my birthday to a rented home in Jamaica. On Saturday, we had a day filled with fun activities. That day was also my birthday. Near sunset, my boyfriend disappeared somewhere and I was wondering where he went. I went down to the beach and saw a thin robe that had words on them. I started walking along the beach reading each card (it was a poem). When I reached the other side of the beach I saw a yacht. I went inside and saw more cards. Then went back outside because the card said to. When I turned around he was on his knee and had this huge diamond ring. It took me about three minutes before I said yes. I cried so long. He just kept on hugging me. We ended our night sailing away into the sunset.

Proposal Roses
This is how I proposed to my girlfriend of 4 years, (every time she tells someone how I proposed she ends up in tears): I bought 3 roses, 1 yellow, 1 pink, and of course 1 red. I proposed to her on her birthday. I was the last person to show up – well, you know I was really nervous of course. There were family and friends at her party, most of them knew what I was about to do. I called everyone outside and I was holding 3 roses. Little did she know that the ring was in the red rose. So, everyone came outside and her dad had some friends there that played mariachi music and they started to play. They played 1 love song first and they played happy birthday afterwards. I stood there holding the 3 roses with my girlfriend and got everyone’s attention. I then presented the yellow rose and said, “This is for our past,” next the pink rose and said, “this one is for our present,” and finally, with the red rose, I got down on one knee and said, “this is for our future,” and I proposed to which, of course, she said yes. I proposed to her July 20, 2003 and we set our wedding date October 2, 2004. I can’t wait till that day comes!

Proposal on the Beach
Here’s an idea for a beach proposal: go to the beach with your girl and walk in the sand with her. Make sure you bring a blanket. Have the ring in your hand but don’t let her know. While you are walking, pretend like you stepped on something. Bend down (now you are in the perfect position to propose) and pretend like you are looking for the thing that you stepped on and look up with the ring and then the rest is up to you on what you are going to say but it will totally surprise her, I promise.

Propose a Toast
Imagine a cold winter day with light fluttering snow flakes falling everywhere. Well that’s where my boyfriend and I were the night he proposed to me. He took me to the park for a candlelit picnic dinner and had roses and everything. When he poured the champagne in my glass instead of proposing a toast, he slipped the wedding ring in my drink and proposed! It was the most romantic thing ever!

Proposing On The Wings Of Love
My boyfriend and I met online in July 2000. We’re still together today, and he lives 1300 miles away. He came down to where I live one month to stay for a couple of weeks, and he said he had a surprise for me when he got here. I was just thinking it’d be a stuffed animal or something, but instead, when I picked him up at the airport, he had a few people off of the airplane sing our song while he proposed to me right at the airport after I greeted him. It was so romantic, I cried so much, and of course, I told him, yes. We’re getting married in the near future!

Restaurant Proposal
My boyfriend and I had been dating for 1 year and 10 months. He is 24 and I am 18. I just graduated from high school. I had an idea that he was going to propose to me, but had no clue as to when. A few weeks before he asked me, I had hurt my knee and had to have surgery. So, I was in this really big cast and had to walk on crutches everywhere we went. The Friday before I graduated, he took me out to eat at a kind of fancy restaurant, but was limited to a not so fancy one because of my leg. Anyways, the dinner was going great and he said he had to get up and use the restroom. We ordered dessert and when it came out I saw something on the napkin. It was a ring! He got down on his knee, in front of everyone, and asked me to marry him. He told me he promised to love me in sickness and in health, since I was sick at the time. Of course I said yes and everyone started to clap. He told me later that night that when he went to the restroom he gave the ring to the waitress and she went around and told everyone to watch. I was so embarrassed, but at the same time I felt so happy. I am leaving in about 2 months to go to college for 2 years, and then we are getting married. We are so happy and in love!!! Guys try this on your love, and she’ll keep you forever!

Rings
We had been together for about 5 months when my boyfriend had told me that he wanted to be with me forever and always. Every night before we would hang up the phone he would say, “Forever and always”. One day he came to my house and while we were sitting on my bed he handed me a ring box. When I opened it, there was a glow in the dark skull ring (I love gothic looking stuff). I kissed him and told him he was sweet. I put the ring back into the box because it was made for a kid and it didn’t fit me. Later, when we were on the computer, he handed me the box and asked if I wanted to see the ring again. I smiled and said okay but when I opened the box there was a gold ring with three small diamonds in it. I looked at him and he signed forever and always to me (we use ASL so not to let others know). We are now planning to get married in about 2 years. I love him so much!

Romantic Proposal!
I thought of many ways to ask my girlfriend to marry me. So one day I showed up at her job with a Limo. Whisked her out to the Airport. Upon landing, into another Limo she went. We stepped out of the second Limo right along side of the Golden Gate Bridge. Before she knew it I was on my knees asking for her precious hand in marriage. All this while the sun was going down and the background of the Bridge sparkled like her finger.

Rose Proposal
My girlfriend and I had this huge fight over some stupid thing (something like what are we going to do for the summer break). It even went so far that she told me that she never wants to talk to me again. I was hurt, but I also knew that she was hurt. So, after a while of being lonely and miserable I decided to stomp on my pride and make things up. I went to my friend at the dean’s office and asked for an official envelope and official letter. In it, I asked her to come to the main lawn behind the dean’s office, tomorrow around 6 p.m. . I got up at 5:30 in the morning, bought 73 red roses (all they had in the shop) and ripped the petals off. In the evening, before she came, I put them all over the lawn (luckily, it wasn’t windy). She came and she saw me standing there with one white rose in my hand. She slowly came up to me and looked me in the eyes, like only she does. And well, I kissed her… For about an hour. And then I gave her the rose and told her to take the petals off. She did that, and as she came to the core, she found a ring that I had put there. Well, guess what? This all happened while we were in the college (1 yr ago) and now, we are happily married and expecting a baby.
