Rubber Ducky Proposal
Get a rubber ducky and tie the ring around his neck with rope or use a chain or something like that. On the ducky, write “Will you marry me?” Next, draw a bath for the two of you. After the tub has filled, put the ducky in the water. Then make a trail of roses leading into the bathroom. Light candles around the tub and turn out the lights. Leave a trail of rose petals leading up to the tub and add a few to the water. Have your fiancé follow the trail into the bathroom where he/she will find you and the ducky waiting.

Santa Baby Proposal
My boyfriend, who is now my husband, had a very romantic Christmas Eve planned one year. He had this sweet idea to go to the nearest group home for kids and volunteer to be Santa Claus. I thought this was so sweet that before he came home that night I dressed up in a Mrs. Claus outfit that I bought from a lingerie store down the block. I was sitting on the couch we had in his apartment next to the Christmas tree. I had turned all the lights off and lit 24 candles all around the living room just like his family used to do. I knew it would make him extra happy when he came home. I left once candle unlit, so he could light it before we made love. When he came home I was waiting in the dim candlelight. I got up from the couch and walked gracefully over to him and kissed him. Then I took his hand and guided him over to the very last unlit candle. After he lit it he gave me the biggest and most loving surprise I had ever received. He got down on one knee and asked, “Will you marry me?” Then he pulled out a red velvet box and inside held a diamond and garnet ring in white gold. I said yes and hugged him and gave him a long passionate kiss and then we made love all night in the dim candlelight we lit together.

Santa’s Best Present
My Fiancé and I had been together for almost two years. He had recently joined the Marines and had left for training. It was around Christmas time and I was up in Connecticut visiting my family and friends. I was disappointed that my boyfriend at the time would not be home in time for the holidays. One night, my whole family and some friends went out to an outdoor ice-skating rink that I used to go to all the time as a child. After awhile, a man dressed up as Santa led me over to an open canopy that was lit up by Christmas lights, Poinsettia plants and snow covering the ground. He turned out to be my boyfriend and we danced to our song while it snowed. (Man-made of course because the weather did not cooperate.) At the end of the song, rosebuds started falling down along with the snow and while I was distracted; he took off the glove on my left hand and slipped a ring on. After a second of amazement, he got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife. The top of the canopy was laced with mistletoe so we couldn’t leave without a Christmas kiss.

Scotland Proposal
We were traveling in Scotland, to an old but beautiful castle with a tour group. When we got to the room with the thrones, he pulled me aside and we looked at the sun setting over the hill through a cracked stone window. After commenting on how gorgeous it was, snuggling in each other’s arms, we start playing around and I carelessly commented, “I wonder what it would have been like to be a queen?” He then kissed my hand and led my to the throne where he motioned me to sit, which I did. He said, “No queen could be without diamonds.” Then he got down on one knee and told me that no woman could ever make him as happy as I do and that he wanted to spend the last of his days together and that he would love nothing more than to wake up every morning with a queen in his bed and would I spend the rest of my life with him as his wife? I don’t think I have ever cried so hard and of course I said yes!

Secret Wishes
When my boyfriend and I were dating, we used to take nightly strolls in a park right by my apartment. One night, we saw a falling star, and we were both so excited we made secret wishes. Four years later, my boyfriend took me to the park to have an afternoon picnic. We walked around the park for almost an hour before we found the “right spot.” After eating, he took my hand and kissed it. Then he said something that changed my life. He said, “Four years ago, we stood at this exact spot, looking at the night sky. We saw a falling star and I wished that I could spend the rest of my life with you. Today, I am here to ask you if you’ll make that wish come true… Will you marry me?” My heart skipped a beat and, of course, I accepted.

Sentimental Proposal
On Valentine’s Day my boyfriend brought me roses and a heart with chocolate in it. After I had smelled my roses and everything he told me to open the heart shaped box. Inside the box was a note that said sit down, close your eyes and count to ten. When I opened my eyes my boyfriend was on one knee and told me that he loved me with all of his heart and that one day he wanted to marry me then he slipped a beautiful promise ring on my finger..

Spontaneous Proposal
How my proposal happened: he came over to my house after an evening out with a friend and asked if I’d like to come along on their trip to Las Vegas that upcoming weekend. I’d never been to Las Vegas, so I said yes. Later that evening, he said “You know I’m going to marry you some day,” to which I replied “I hope so.” A few hours later, after we had just gone to bed, he asked “How do you feel about eloping?” When I said that I liked that idea, he then said “Marry me in Vegas this weekend.” I said yes and three days later we were married in Las Vegas in front of six friends who dropped everything to be there for our special day.

Startling Proposal Surprise
Here’s how my proposal was set up: every year in my hometown the civic center hosts a skating session. I planned the details with the Chief of Police so that during one of the sessions, I left for a few minutes to take a mutual friend of ours to go get some cigarettes leaving my girlfriend to skate by herself for a little while. While I was gone, the Chief stopped the skating for a “special announcement.” He called her out and said there was a problem and that she needed to go with him down to the station. He told her that they would just walk across to his car that was at the exit on the other side of the rink, because it was shorter than going around the whole arena. As they made their way across the ice, all the lights went out and a spotlight shined down on them. Then I had the DJ play our song over the stadium audio system. Now, utterly confused and not knowing where I was, she hardly expected me to come skating out in my Marine Corps Dress-blue uniform and ask her to marry me. (Reason for going to get cigarettes was really an excuse to make my way to the bathroom and change into the uniform that I had dropped off at the box office the night before). Needless to say, she was quite startled and surprised!

Sweet Proposal
Approximately 1 year after my sweetie and I had been dating, I set up a proposal idea. I am the woman, so I knew it would be a complete surprise. I bought the ring from a jewelry store that he and I had been at before, picked a park with a beautiful lake and picnic table and had my sister drive before me and set up the candlelight dinner. Then, I drove my husband to what he thought was a family cookout. I let him to the table and he realised it was for him. We ate, laid on the grass and cuddled, and then I took him to a hotel where we had a bubble bath and his favorite dessert. Inside the Key Lim Pie, was the ring. I got down on one knee and proposed. He was so surprised and happy. We are going on three years of marriage now.

Teddy Bear II
My baby doll and I have teddy bears that we made for each other. Mine is a cowboy cause I rope and ride. Her’s is a mail lady cause she is a mail lady. We both keep them on our bed. So one day before she got home from work I took the clothes off the bear and covered it in thorns from roses, that way she couldn’t touch it, if she did she would get pricked. I was hiding in her closet and when she came into the room to see her bear I jumped out of the closet with the roses missing the thorns. I told her to carefully pluck off each thorn then take one and tear open the bear. Inside was a big ring. I then got down on one knee and told her, “Every rose has its thorn but in my eyes you have none, will you be my teddy bear forever?” She cried and said yes. She has the ripped up teddy bear in a frame to this day.

Tennis Anyone?
My girlfriend and I both play tennis. So I of course decided to propose to her on the tennis courts in front of about 40 to 50 people. I also have 2 kids from a previous marriage and she has none and my kids also participated. It went like this: We are both on a tennis league that would start on Tue. nights. I had two guys with camcorders filming the whole proposal and one guy with a camera. Since it was the first night of the league (Feb. 10) and she runs it, she was giving instructions about what to do in the league. This took about 10 min.
Then immediately after that, a friend of mine gave her a can of tennis balls and my girlfriend was instructed to read each ball out to the crowd. Of course the first ball she pulled out said, “Will” and then the second said, “You” and the third said, “Marry” and the fourth ball was with me. By now she had figured out what was up. Immediately right after she finished reading the tennis balls, my kids came out one at a time. First my son, Justin, came out with 1/2 dozen roses and gave them to her and told her please say yes. And then my daughter, Andrea, was following him and she did the same thing. And right after that I came out with a beautiful Valentine’s vase holding a dozen roses in them. I also had a CD player that was all set up to play our love song which I was going to turn on by remote as I walked up, but I was too nervous and totally forgot. Then I was going to recite a beautiful poem which I had also forgotten. I knew I would be too nervous to remember so, being prepared, I had it written on my hand, but it was smeared due to my sweating from being completely nervous.
Instead, I basically said this to her, “Honey, I had something beautiful I was going to say to you, but I forgot and then I decided to write it on my hand and now it’s smeared, so I feel like God is speaking to me and I am going to speak from my heart,” and I did. I handed her the roses in one hand and I gave her the last tennis ball with the writing on it that said “Me?” And then I was on my knees asking for her hand in marriage. I had also told her that I could have easily proposed to her on Valentine’s Day but I told her she is special and Feb. 10 is her Valentine’s Day and she deserves a special day like that all to herself. She later told me that she was in such a state of shock that she had her hand on her mouth and was just so surprised and was praying to God that she didn’t pass out and all she wanted to do the whole time was give me a big kiss. Then immediately afterwards the whole tennis crowd cheered for us and I played our love song that we danced to with the crowd cheering in the background. It wasn’t easy and I am a very shy man, but it’s amazing what we can do when we are in love.

The Proposal
My fiance and I had been dating for about three months. He went to the Bahamas for a week on a mission trip. The next week, I went on a church trip with our youth group as a chaperone. So we didn’t see each other for about two weeks. When I got back from camp on Friday, he gave me an invitation to a candle-light dinner for two. On Saturday, he picked me up. I wore a dress and he had on a shirt, pants, and a tie. He looked really great. We went to his house. We had the house to ourselves because his family had gone out of town. He made me close my eyes and led me into the dining room where I could hear soft, romantic music playing. I opened my eyes and saw the most beautiful table setting that I had ever seen. There were roses on the table. He had pulled out his mother’s china, and there was a bottle of sparkling grape juice on the table. It was beautiful. Well, we had a salad, a steak and a baked potato. After we finished eating, he told me to close my eyes. He said that he was bringing dessert and I had to taste it and guess what it was. Well, when he got back in the dining room, he knelt down in front of me. He said, “I want you to make me the happiest man in the world. Will you marry me?” Wow!! I said yes and opened my eyes. He was holding the most beautiful diamond ring that I have ever seen in my life. We have been engaged for three months now and the years ahead of us will be the greatest ever.

The Proposal of a Lifetime
Tomorrow, I am proposing to my girlfriend of 4 1/2 yrs. My girlfriend believes she is going to a seminar through her company. (She goes on quite a few during the year). I called her boss and told her to send her on a seminar on ‘Leadership’ (which I will be hosting). I rented out a conference room at the ‘Sheraton’ hotel (they were great – gave me a really good deal!). I managed to gather a group of 10 people to take part in the seminar with a professional presenter. I designed a nice PowerPoint presentation and at the end, the presenter is going to show a video on ‘Lifetime Leaders – The Proposal of a Lifetime” – at this point, a slideshow of my girlfriend and I will appear and in the background our song will be playing. At the end of the video, there will be a taping of myself, telling her how much I love her. At that point, I will walk into the boardroom and propose.
