Get lucky in love this St. Patrick’s Day 2023 with our tips for a special night of Irish romance for two.

Hide-A-Clover
Hide four-leaf clover cut outs that once retrieved can be redeemable for kisses or other pre-determined favors. Such as 5 shamrocks are redeemable for a back rub, etc. You may want to include a menu or list of what the shamrocks can be redeemed for.
Me Lucky Jar O’ Candy
You will need: A clean jar and lid, green spray paint, gold glitter spray paint, shamrock or other holiday stickers, and gold or green colored/wrapped candy.Directions: Paint the entire top of the lid with green spray paint. When dry, spray lid with the glitter spray. Let dry. Decoratively place stickers on the jar. If desired, place one in the middle of the lid. Fill jar with green or gold wrapped candy.Variations: (Lucky Jar O’ Lovin’) Use shamrock cut-outs as love coupons, reasons why you love your partner or put various things you can do on each one. You can include ideas such as date ideas, romantic moments (like a 1-minute kiss) or even intimate encounters to share. When you are feeling bored or once a week, pick a shamrock out of the jar and complete what it says.
Good Luck Charm
My boyfriend always called me his good luck charm so I decided to use that as a theme for a small gift for no occasion. I got a miniature lucky charms cereal box and dumped out the cereal. Then I put a framed picture of me in it and laid about 20 4-leaf clovers over it. I sent it through the mail and he was so shocked I had did that for him. This definitely put a smile on his face.

Pot of Gold
I always tell my boyfriend that he is my pot of gold at the end of a rainbow and that sparked an idea. I went out and bought a pot that looked a lot like the one’s you see on the Lucky Charms’ commercials. Then I filled it with a bunch of those chocolate coins (you can get at most candy stores). Then I made a big rainbow and hung it from the ceiling in his bedroom and under it I placed the pot of gold and left a love letter sticking out of the coins. He was so surprised when he came home from work!

Lucky Card
My girl and I both live at home. Finding time alone isn’t very easy, especially if we want to get intimate. We both work part-time jobs and are full-time students and so sometimes we only get to see each other at our jobs. So, one day after being frustrated by the lack of alone time, I decided to find a cute way to express these feelings. I hid a card on her car so she would find it after work. Inside the card was a note that said, “I know we can’t find a lot of time together and haven’t been able to get ‘lucky’ in a while, but maybe one of us can.” Enclosed with the card was a scratch and win lottery ticket. She immediately called me telling how cute of an idea it was and we found some “lucky” time together.

Rainbow Of Love
Get a poster (preferably light blue). Cut out a lot of little construction paper hearts, some for each color of the rainbow (Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, Indigo, Violet). I cut out ones that were about 2 inches in size. Arrange all of the hearts diagonally so they form a rectangle, still following the order of ROYGBIV. You should be able to fit about 100 hearts. Now write a reason why you love your love on each heart. Trust me it takes a quite a while, but that’s half the gift. You can buy your significant other the most expensive gift in the world, but the gifts that take a lot of time and effort usually reap the biggest rewards. AND, TRUST ME…DID I EVER GET REWARDED FOR THIS!!

Lucky In Love
Find a four leaf clover and stick it to a wallet -size piece of card. Write “Lots of luck for..” and your sweetie’s name. Decorate the border and laminate… A lovely token for them to carry always.

A Night O’ Green
For St. Patrick.s Day this year I decided to have a little green fun. I prepared my boyfriend a completely green meal. Including artichokes, spinach fettuccini, French bread cut into shamrocks, green cake and a frosty mint drink with ice cream and club soda. I also played leprechaun for the evening and hid clues around the house on four leaf clovers cut from green construction paper. Each clue led him to different places in the house that were part of us. One was to pictures of us on the mantle, another to the couch where we like to snuggle etc. At the end of the clues was a pot of gold (chocolate coins) his favorite DVD movie and a note about how lucky I am to have him in my life.

Lucky For You
Cut out a green shamrock from construction paper and write three things that you feel you are lucky for. Such as, I’m lucky to have you in my life. Pin it somewhere like on a door, put it in your partner’s briefcase or wear it around your neck on St. Patrick’s Day.

Chasing Rainbows
Often a Sunday drive isn’t bad, but on a rainy day there is still something interesting to do. Grab a Camera, and on that rainy day, go for a casual drive. If the sun is in the east try to find a place the rain will be west of the sun. If the sun is in the west, search for where the rain will be on the east, and just simply keep driving until you find that one place you found your rainbow. It may take a few tries, but I am sure you will eventually find a romantic spot to remember. This lends plenty time to conversation, and patience will lead to your reward. It isn’t the point of calling the first place you find a rainbow romantic, but finding that one place you both can call romantic. The truth is you can follow a rainbow in most cases.
