If Porn Had a Director’s Commentary

DIRECTOR Hey, welcome to the audio commentary for HOT COLLEGE CHICK GET STUFFD BY 2 COCKS SEXY BIG TITS CUM. I'm Ryan Chumbert, the director.

WRITER And I'm Alan Wingsworth, the writer.

DIRECTOR This was a really special project for me, to finally get to work with Alan. I'd been a huge fan of his work since I saw DEEP THROAT AMATEUR REDHEAD SLUT SCHOOLGIRL FUCK, so --

WRITER Really? You never told me that! Thank you so much.

DIRECTOR So it was really exciting for me to get this project, and filming was just so fun.

WRITER So fun.

DIRECTOR Oh, I loved this opening. We start, obviously, in media res, where our protagonist is fucking the college chick doggy style. I mean, what an opening. When I read this in the script, this was when I knew we had to set it in a dorm room.

WRITER It was important to me that the character of the college chick be very clear from the beginning of the film. She's a chick, and she's in college.

DIRECTOR I love the way this guy writes women.

WRITER Stop, you're making me blush.

DIRECTOR And our set designer went above and beyond, as you can see. I mean, we have a dirty futon on the floor and a black leather couch, completely bare walls, and nothing else. And she worked really well with our crew to make sure that in -- what is it, two? Two -- of the shots you can actually catch a glimpse of one of our light stands, and I mean it was a bold choice but it clearly paid off.

WRITER In spades.

DIRECTOR I think when the audience looks at that, they know right away that this is a dorm room, and honestly I feel like you get to know the characters and their relationship before even a word is spoken.

WRITER Which is important, because there's actually no dialogue in the piece.

DIRECTOR Right, right. It's kind of an homage to the silent films of the 40s and 50s in that way.

WRITER Oh, so, now the second guy is introduced, which is sort of the height of the dramatic conflict in the piece. If you're familiar with Robert McKee's Story, you'll be able to see where this is going--

DIRECTOR We were really lucky to land James, by the way, for this role. I'd worked with him a few times before, and I just had a sneaking feeling that he would really lose himself in this character.

WRITER The character of the second guy is this man with a huge dick, who is really into really repetitive, aggressive sex, and James REALLY found that character.

DIRECTOR And it was such a stroke of luck to find him, because he also happened to be--

WRITER--One of the ten guys that are in every single porn movie.

[Laughter]

DIRECTOR Exactly. Oh, I remember this day of shooting. Gosh, we must've gone through a gallon of lube. But it was worth it.

WRITER Ryan has a very open-door approach to shooting, and I felt very welcome to speak up, and I think that was true for everyone on set.

DIRECTOR  Yeah, I mean, this scene was actually a total improv on the part of the actors. She came up to me midway through and was like, "What if my character started giving him a blow job here?" and you know, I had never thought of it, but it made total sense. I mean, this was just such a collaborative project. It belongs to the actors as much as me.

WRITER Absolutely.

DIRECTOR  Oh, also, we can't even talk about this movie without talking about our director of photography, Rick Overholt. The choices he made, he would take literally three hours to set up for a shot. And I was like, dude, we're gonna go off schedule, off budget -- and he said, "Ryan. Trust me."

WRITER And it paid off.

DIRECTOR He gets SO up close to the genitals, it's amazing. He's an artist.

WRITER  Oh, gosh, remember this day?

DIRECTOR Don't remind me. We did so many takes of this one, because the whole crew could not stop laughing when James made that face! At first it was like, just his natural reaction to getting his asshole eaten, but then after a while we were all like, c'mon buddy, now you're just messing with us!

WRITER Such a fun set.

DIRECTOR Oh, gosh, and this other day, I think we were shooting the scene where, uh--

WRITER Ah. Oh yeah. Ah, ah.

DIRECTOR Yep. Gettin' close.

WRITER Me too.

DIRECTOR Aaaaaand...finished. Can we get some towels over here?

WRITER Phew.

DIRECTOR Well, great talkin' to you today.

WRITER You too!
