Omid Scobie, a journalist or as I call him, a Perez Hilton wannabe (he is failing, I will always stand by Mr. Hilton.) Mr. Scobie is Meghan Markle’s mouthpiece, he is a gossip columnist talk about the Royal Family and a pain in the tuches (Yiddish for butt/ass).
I am sick of him praising Harry and Meghan and writing negative things about Prince William, Kate, King Charles, and Camilla. He doesn’t get the fact, during his ramblings, the the Royal Family doesn’t take part in Politics- it is in the Law. Mr. Scobie, I am giving you a FACTUAL history lesson:
In 1689, The Royal Family stopped having political power. Great Britain officially became a constitutional monarchy. That means the power to pass legislation resides with an elected body known as Parliament. Queen Elizabeth (and now King Charles) possessed so-called reserve powers, also known as prerogative powers or personal prerogatives.
The only thing a King or Queen can do is to appoint the Prime Minister, and all the other ministers; to open new sessions of parliament; and to give royal assent to bills passed by parliament, signifying that they have become law.
As Head of State, The Queen or King must remain politically neutral, since her Government will be formed from whichever party can command a majority in the House of Commons. The Queen or King is part of the legislature and technically she cannot therefore vote for members of another part of the legislature.
With the removal of hereditary peers from the House of Lords in 1999, the Royal Dukes (The Dukes of Edinburgh, York, Gloucester and Kent) ceased to be members of the House of Lords and therefore became eligible to vote in elections, and to stand for election.
His book, Endgame: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy’s Fight for Survival, has left so many people buzzing. My question for Mr. Scobie is, what is his endgame for writing this book? Did he think that this book will cause stress within the Royal Family? I haven’t read the book and I am stressing about it.
So far we know the following,
- He finally told the world (Sunday Times) that he is not friends with Meghan Markle
- He has mutual friends with Meghan and that “helps with getting information and breaking details”
- Apparently there are “two” racists in the Royal Household.
I want to bring up the Racist bit. Asking what someone will look like isn’t racist. I am mixed - Ashkenazi, Native American and white. My skin color? It is light olive. My grandma had beautiful tan skin. My mom had reddish color and my grandpa, white as a can be no pigment on his skin. Just how it is- and it is a question when my kids were born, what will they look like? This is not a racist question , this is a normal question most people ask. Why is this even brought up?
My favorite is when he said that both Prince Harry and Meghan (H&M to their staff) are “in a good place,” Scobie told The Sunday Times. “We have to remember that this is a couple that—this is just my own opinion—seem to have bonded over their shared traumas, experiences and battles that they’ve faced together against others. That kind of bond is much tougher to break than anything else.”
He praises both Harry and Meghan, but when it comes to Kate Middleton? this is what he has to say,
“The small achievements that we’ve seen from the Princess of Wales wouldn’t perhaps be noticed if it was from another member of the royal family, but with Kate it’s like ‘wow!’”
Scobie, Let me break down Kate since I met her personally 18 June 2004 at the Polo Ball, where I was a non playing member at the polo club in England. I sat at the table with William, Kate and several ‘inner circle’ friends, out of respect, I will not name them. I had a lovely conversation with Kate and I remember the following day, at the charity polo match (When William’s name was called, he and the horse went the wrong way lol. We were all hung over! Was a night to remember lol), she checked up on me to make sure I was okay. She is a kind person and I remember thinking then, she and William will get married. I was right and I see how hard Kate works. So don’t you write rubbish about her. It isn’t easy being part of the Royal Family-
Mr. Scobie, you don’t know how much Kate does behind the doors. That isn’t media information and to be frank with you, they don’t need everything including , when they flush the toilet, in the papers, they are allowed to have media free time as they should.
And then he had to say this about Prince William and King Charles:
Prince William is in “heir mode,” Scobie writes, leading to conflict with King Charles. William “knows his father’s reign is only transitional,” Scobie writes, “and is acting accordingly.”
Remember when Harry and Meghan wanted privacy? Scobie tells the world that apparently after the publication of his memoir Spare, Harry asked a mutual friend to help organize a conversation with William. “It got nowhere.” In Endgame Scobie quotes Harry talking to a friend: “I’m ready to move on past it. Whether we get an apology or accountability, who knows? Who really cares at this point?” - BULLSHIT Scobie. If Harry asked a mutual friend to help out, more than likely, mutual friend wold say: I will pass the message on, I am not, however, getting in the middle of the fight.
I used to know many ‘inner circle’ friends from when I was non playing member at a polo club in England in 2004. I can tell you this, the friends are loyal, VERY good people
Mr. Scobie knows he isn’t liked by many, although he said England, I would say most of the world-that is the problem with social media. It isn’t focused on one country. He said, “I’m very aware that I’m quite disliked in Britain. The way anything about me is said is as if I’m just the absolute worst person”.
And the making money for a book, regardless if what is in there are facts or fiction, continues. More leaks from Omid Scobie’s book includes the report in the Sun on Sunday that claims King Charles called Prince Harry “that fool” after his Netflix documentary, which lifted the lid on the most savage episode of internecine royal warfare since the days of Princess Diana. Scobie quotes an aide as saying, according to the Sun: “(The show) took the wind out of everyone’s sails. (He) went from not wanting anyone to talk about his son to openly criticizing ‘that fool.’ ”-
Ummm… I called Harry a fool, so did most people, for making that horrible Documentary. Netflix gave Meghan & Harry a to of money to put this rubbish together? - the song “Cry me a River” by Justin Timberlake should be the theme song for that Documentary. The editing, for that series was just as bad. So, Scobie, if Charles said that, good for him. Most of us were thinking that.
The book also claims that Kate and William found South Park’s episode mocking the Sussexes, entitled The Worldwide Privacy Tour, “hilarious.” - Um. Mr Scobie, nobody knows what their thoughts were . I do remember, TWITTER saying William and Kate would find it funny. Heck, I found it funny. South Park is a genius!
He also repeated old news from a long time about About Charles, “King Charles there are also some tasty nuggets: Scobie says the king has his shoelaces ironed, travels with 1,000-thread-count bed linen and revisits the famous question of a royal toothpaste squeezer, saying: “Charles likes to have someone squeeze exactly one inch of toothpaste on to his toothbrush for him ahead of his bedtime routine.”- Did you research this book or repeat what you found from other authors? Curious minds want to know…

Another interesting line in the book, reported by Page Six, is a claim by Scobie that the royals “chose to completely ignore” the Black Lives Matter movement. He writes: “During my years covering the royals I have regularly been surprised by the Palace’s blasé attitude when it comes to anything to do with race, racism, or the issues that impact those from minority backgrounds.”
SCOBIE- AGAIN ROYALS CANNOT PARTICIPATE IN POLITICS! BLM IS A POLITICAL MOVEMENT- DO YOU NOT READ THE NEWS? My gosh, this man does not do factual research. What did you want? For King Charles to go out there and protest?
In fact, according to Scobie , he met up with a senior palace aide in August 2021 who he alleges told him: “We didn’t [reply] because it felt like you were trying to get a headline, quite honestly…You would have turned [the family not saying something] into a story.” - senior Aid is right. Scobie, the man who loves to gossip doesn’t know jack shit when it comes to the Royal Family and their role.
And more news that isn’t new- The Guardian reported this week that King Charles “is profiting from the deaths of thousands of people in the north-west of England whose assets are secretly being used to upgrade a commercial property empire managed by his hereditary estate.”
In Britain, if you die without making a will and no heir can be traced, your money goes to the government, but under a quirk of constitutional law if you die intestate and unclaimed in the region of England bounded by the Duchy of Lancaster, the monarch’s private estate, the money goes to the Duchy (coming to around £61m—$85m—in ten years). That is an old law.
The Duchy has long claimed that these funds go directly to charity, but The Guardian revealed that only 15% of these funds have done so, while the rest is used to restore Duchy properties defined as “heritage assets,” a change introduced by the late Queen Elizabeth.
So take it as you will with Mr. Scobie. I think the Endgame of this book is just to make a profit and a profit he will. He doesn’t care about the stress this is causing people he writes about.
