Overcash, at the time, could not do as he did not have the resources.
Note, the media had written a fable, even Deputy Sheriff, C.S. Overcash,, who was friends with my 2nd great grandparents did not think my 2nd great grandpa did it. He had to come up with a logical answer to close the case as he Deputy Sheriff, C.S. Overcash, was running for Sheriff (and lost). Everyone is a Suspect as not many people liked her. And the list continues to grow.
