I have read your emails asking me what on earth is happening with my books on Amazon. I will tell you- it is the same song and dance for thousands of publishers/authors right now for those who use KDP (Kindle Direct Publishing) on their platforms.
Account was terminated for "manipulation of services" - yeah I know, what on earth does that mean? Truthfully I have no idea. I don't promote my books, I don't do keyword stuffing- I don't hire people to read my books -but the trippy AI Bot sent that message and terminated mine and thousands of other authors accounts on KDP - and you can't get ahold of a human on KDP- when you appeal with proof you didn't do that, you get a generated email "we are upholding our previous decision..."
Only thing I can think of is piracy! And this is a HUGE issue with indie authors. And google is now ruining us authors (and artists!) even more- with the launch of ChatGPT! I suspect with ChatGPT tens of thousands of KDP accounts will get random termination - since KDP has a trippy AI Bot. Those who are tuning in, KDP AI Bot is like the Matrix - scans the world wide web, alerts someone at Kindle Content Review (KCR) about a possible red flag. KCR is supposed to see if the red flag is legit ad 96% of the time, they do not. So if you are book is pirated and placed on a website for free downloads, AI Bot sees it, alerts and KCR thinks that YOU the author are manipulating the system when you had no idea what is going on...

On top of that, KDP needs a better system, if something like this happens - notify the authors "we see your book on another site, we suspect the book was pirated, here is the link" KDP could do that, since the KDP AI Bot sees it during their Matrix search.. okay back to what on earth is ChatGPT-a high-profile AI chatbot from OpenAi - basically the world is officially becoming the real life version of Star Trek The Next Generation : BORG (The Borg are cybernetic organisms (cyborgs) linked in a hive mind called "the Collective". The Borg co-opt the technology and knowledge of other alien species) .
So what should you do? Continue appealing to KDP. Meanwhile move your books to other outlets such as:
- Kobo
- IBooks
- Draft2Digital- they distribute to several publishing companies...
- Smashwords
- Barnes And Noble

It is sad what Amazon KDP is doing to authors and even sadder that KDP doesn't train Kindle Content Review properly- because if they were trained right, may accounts that were wrongfully terminated would have been saved.
Note, when you post on Reddit: KDP Terminate, notice a few people will say "well, KDP Doesn't do random terminations, you obviously did something wrong" that is not true at all. AI Bot is trippy - thanks to the scammers out there and piracy folk.

KDP has been terminating massively publisher's accounts in error by their faulty AI Bot. There is no explanation on their side or contact with someone else than a Bot. They don't want to explain what happened just closing the account instead. When I asked for an explanation they said I manipulated services (which is not true and they don't have any proof) and "cannot offer any more details about it". So they closed my account, took my 5000£ in royalties, and don't want to explain what happened. I appealed many times saying that this must be an error and tried to explain myself but they don't even reply... I sent an email with the official complaint- again no reply. They steal the publisher's money without any explanation or contact on their side. KDP used to be a good platform but now is rubbish...
Keep trying to appeal but also move all your books to other platforms as long as they follow TOS of the sites- also erotica TOS is the same across the board with other platforms. And if I get my account back on Amazon KDP they will 100% brand new stories.
