Whiny Colorado Supreme Court disqualifies Trump from 2024 ballot

You heard it here folks. The Democrats will do anything to get their way- as they have a history of it. Here is a perfect example, Lost State of Franklin lost the vote to become Franklin due to voting being rigged . I know this because my 6th great grandfather, who was a founding father of Tennessee, is on historical records talking about this. The Governor of North Carolina didn't want future Tennessee to become a state that he would do anything to prevent that. The same thing for Tennessee. Tennessee nearly didn't become a state.

When Tennessee became a state, the political nightmare didn't stop there. Governor William Blount was impeached.( actually the first to be impeached in American history). The Nation's very first impeachment trial concerned an ex-official: Senator William Blount, who had plotted to give the British control over parts of Florida and Louisiana (which were then controlled by Spain and France, respectively.  Reason why I bring this up, because there wasn't 100% evidence of truth. What was interesting is, (and my 6th great grandfather Senator Thomas Henderson was friends with him)

July 8, 1797, after hearing two of Blount's colleagues testify that the letter was in his handwriting and listening to a response by defense counsel, the Senate took up its committee's report. The committee had cited Blount's conduct as “entirely inconsistent with his public trust" and recommended that he be expelled from the Senate. By a vote of 25 to 1, the members upheld the report in the first expulsion of a United States senator. Further, the Senate ordered Blount to appear on July 10 to answer the representatives' articles of impeachment. Although Blount gave assurances that he would appear on that date, he instead spurred his horse home to Tennessee.

I want to point out, that modern historians have gotten something incorrect, Although Blount was expelled and impeached, there was a lot riding on him politically- meaning, this all had to do with Lost State of Franklin and later Tennessee. US Government, including John Adams wanted Tennessee to fail. In fact, he was known politically because he signed the Constitution and reason? ,Blount explained, in a democracy the will of the people, expressed through their elected delegates, should be heard.

So facts, are what was given to Adams, that we know, all about some stupid plot but that wasn't the real reason why he was voted to be expelled and impeached. That all had to do with Blount didn't like the bullshit in politics. Why do you think many people left Virginia and North Carolina to go to Tennessee? Fun fact after Revolutionary War, America was VERY poor and taxes hiked even more. People were tired! War of 1812, President James Madison asked Tennessee to join and Tennessee said "oh hell no" they were tired fighting. Eventually they did join only after  Indian tribe in a USA Territory (I think Arkansas, I have to look at my history books) murdered nearly everyone in a fort. That is when Tennessee joined.

My 6th great grandfather, Senator Thomas Henderson helped give food, water and clothing to the troops and also kept peace with the Five Indian Tribes (Fun fact, most Colonial Americans spoke local Tribe languages - why wasn't this taught in school?) and Henderson and many others in politics for Tennessee all wanted to keep peace. They didn't like the shit that was happening in the US Government.

ok. Back to whiny Democrats:

A divided Colorado Supreme Court on Tuesday declared former President Donald Trump ineligible for the White House under the U.S. Constitution’s insurrection clause and removed him from the state’s presidential primary ballot, setting up a likely showdown in the nation’s highest court to decide whether the front-runner for the GOP nomination can remain in the race.

The decision from a court whose justices were all appointed by Democratic governors marks the first time in history that Section 3 of the 14th Amendment has been used to disqualify a presidential candidate.

“A majority of the court holds that Trump is disqualified from holding the office of president under Section 3 of the 14th Amendment,” the court wrote in its 4-3 decision.

Colorado’s highest court overturned a ruling from a district court judge who found that Trump incited an insurrection for his role in the Jan. 6, 2021, attack on the Capitol, but said he could not be barred from the ballot because it was unclear that the provision was intended to cover the presidency.

Key points

  • The 4-3 decision was made by the Colorado Supreme Court, whose justices were all appointed by Democratic governors.
  • It is the first time in history that Section 3 of the 14th Amendment has been used to disqualify a presidential candidate.
  • Trump’s attorneys had promised to appeal to the nation’s highest court, which may eventually decide if Trump can be on the ballot in 2024.

The court stayed its decision until Jan. 4, or until the U.S. Supreme Court rules on the case. Colorado officials say the issue must be settled by Jan. 5, the deadline for the state to print its presidential primary ballots.

“We do not reach these conclusions lightly,” wrote the court’s majority. “We are mindful of the magnitude and weight of the questions now before us. We are likewise mindful of our solemn duty to apply the law, without fear or favor, and without being swayed by public reaction to the decisions that the law mandates we reach.”

Trump’s attorneys had promised to appeal any disqualification immediately to the nation’s highest court, which has the final say about constitutional matters.

Trump’s legal spokeswoman Alina Habba said in a statement Tuesday night: “This ruling, issued by the Colorado Supreme Court, attacks the very heart of this nation’s democracy. It will not stand, and we trust that the Supreme Court will reverse this unconstitutional order.”

Trump didn’t mention the decision during a rally Tuesday evening in Waterloo, Iowa, but his campaign sent out a fundraising email citing what it called a “tyrannical ruling.”

Republican National Committee chairwoman Ronna McDaniel labeled the decision “Election interference” and said the RNC’s legal team intends to help Trump fight the ruling.

Trump lost Colorado by 13 percentage points in 2020 and doesn’t need the state to win next year’s presidential election. But the danger for the former president is that more courts and election officials will follow Colorado’s lead and exclude Trump from must-win states.

What are the Democrats worried about ? Trump making sure we don't have wars? That our gas and groceries are affordable? That kids get a proper education? if that is the case then count me in for Trump because Democrats have done a lot worse- way worse, historically and even in the current time. Shouldn't the Democrats get same treatment and be off of ballot votes?
