There is a classic mistake that a guy will make and he won't even see the error in his ways until it is too late. That mistake is - dropping back into the friend zone after he has already started to sexually attract a woman. It's an innocent enough mistake to make, but that still does not mean that you want to make it. After all, becoming more than friends with a woman is probably what you want to do and if you unknowingly drop back into the friend zone, that's not going to happen. So, how do you make sure that you don't take that step backwards?
First, you have to know that the old idea that it is good for a guy to be a woman's best friend is only true AFTER you have been dating long enough for that to not conflict with the fact that you want to be more than just her friend. The sexual attraction has to have been long established and still present when you become her best friend. Even then, it is still good to be more focused on being her boyfriend than it is her best friend.
One of the mistakes that ends up making a guy fall back into that friend zone is when you have a couple of dates with a woman and then you immediately start to do her favors. Or, sometimes the guy even makes the mistake of acting like a friend even before he gets those first couple of dates. No matter what, you want to clearly define what it is that you really want. If you want to be a woman's friend, then go ahead with the favors. If you want more than that, and you want her to want you - then you have to make sure that you don't approach her as if you are looking for friendship.
The reason why guys always seem to fall back on trying to be a woman's best friend probably has a lot to do with the social conditioning that we all have to deal with where we are taught that this is the "proper" way to do things. Well, if it is so proper, then why does it so rarely lead to anything other than ending up as the friend that does her a lot of favors? If you really want to be able to sexually attract a woman, then you need to forget about going the route of doing a woman favors and become more about doing things to turn her on sexually. That is what will make you seem like a man that she wants for more than just platonic friendship. That is what will make her feel like she wants to be intimate with you.
