Book Club Date Night for your Long Distance Relationship- Date Idea

Being in a long distance relationship doesn't always afford you much one-on-one time with your partner. For those times when you still want to be doing something together, but aren't able to talk or chat, consider starting your own book club for two. A personal book club is a great way to have something in common that you are both doing daily. You'll also get an opportunity to share and discover new insights into your partner's way of thinking, and uncover some new likes and dislikes.

Getting Started

To get started, you'll need to pick out a book together. Then pick one night a month to share your thoughts and ideas about your book selection together. Spend the rest of the month reading your book club pick. You can share notes or play a fun little competitive game to see who's reading faster than the other.

Making It Romantic

Book & A Movie
Get two date nights in one with a book based on a movie. When you're done with the book, plan another date night to watch the movie at the same time. On your book club date night, compare what you liked about the book versus the movie.

His & Hers Book Picks
Take turns choosing which book you'll both be reading. The first selection can be his, then the next one hers and so on. This will give you both a great opportunity to learn more about your partner's interests.

Book & Dinner
On your book club date night, arrange to have dinner sent to each other and make it a book and a dinner date. You can talk about your thoughts over web cam chat and it will feel almost as close to being in person.
