Why is cyberbullying from YouTubers Accepted and Glorified?

How many times have you come across youtube channels that start with "I like their content" and later that same Youtuber expanded by having beef with someone at the grocery store or perhaps a neighbor and their content went from complaining to belittling to cyberbullying. People like drama. Drama = views. views = money.

I won't name any names, but you may be able to think of a couple of examples of YouTubers who fit this mold. A YouTuber who uses their content to mock, humiliate or attack people, usually done for comedy purposes (at least what some will stay on their channel..). So many YouTubers now seem to follow this formula, dedicating their entire channel or at least a portion of it to bullying, and it's put across as "social commentary", "comedy", or "reaction" (not to say that anything considered those things are cyberbullying but they can be used to sugar coat it).

They'll always be attacking someone and producing content at their expense. Of course sometimes that person is not always a person you might like and may have done something really bad worthy of consequence, however two wrongs don't make a right, and plenty of times it's not even someone doing something really bad but someone who is deemed "weird" but not hurting anyone. It's not always an individual person either, it could be a group, usually a group of people with a specific fandom/fetish/hobby that are the victim of the bullying.

Then some fans or as many call them 'minions', who are bored, contact. directly those involved. Youtuber states not to contact, they do it anyway and will feed the Youtuber falsified screenshots because the minions are bored. When I spoke up my opinion, something I didn't agree with a Youtuber - granted I respect his business but I did not agree with the words he was saying, his minions decided to do childish attacking that I write erotica. So what? Yes I am an author. I am a musician and actor. I worked in politics, and I knew Prince Harry VERY well, when I was a Patron for Sentebale. These attacks the minions do for their leader is childish and needs to stop.

So, why is this generally deemed okay? And why is it so popular? While many people will claim to be against cyberbullying, plenty of acts of cyberbullying like this are defended.

Also note I understand people will joke about others, usually celebrities or public figures. I'm not talking about cracking a joke at someone, but more attacking someone with little regard to their well-being for the sake of a YouTube video..

And people such as Larry Forman, and Meghan Fox (writer/journalist), recently have been siding with a Youtuber vecause he complains that his Freedom of Speech was taken away. All because neighbor went to court to get the Youtuber to stop talking about her and her family. That got him upset. Judge got a Temp. RO on him. He can't drive on the road near her house, so he can film her or her husband breaking the RO (aka crying wolf because that is what narcissists want you to do) . She gets an Attorney and he is angry and complains about it. He talks smack about that Attorney (he is a good Attorney!). It is her right to get legal help. She got tired of the cyberbullying she is getting not just form the Youtuber but also from some of his fans, who contact her. Remember, he always states not to contact the people he talks about (I refuse to give names as once I speak up he gets upset and will cyberbully me for having an opinion. I respect his business but I will not respect him cyberbullying people. Bullying is bullying and I am AGAINST bullying.)

He is going on Youtube shows such as Larry Forman to say "my freedom of speech was taken away. The woman is liar".. and so on. Not one channel he spoke with wanted her side of the story. So now they are continuing with the cyberbullying train. Not one person did their research to know that that woman, regardless if she is toxic or not. The Youtuber puts on his channel texts she 'might' have written without proof. Or when his "mole" people photoshop some messages and sends to him, without any research he complains about what that person did and so on.

Youtuber brings up her past. We all have a past. Why does it matter what she did in her past? Youtuber brought up the fact she worked at a stripper club (not sure if that is true; he said it) and I thought, so what? people gotta do what they gotta do to pay the bills. I have known strippers who worked in a club to pay for college and now, they are a doctor! Radiologist to be exact!

Meghan Markle did a blowjob scene in the new series of 90210, opening scene (see video clip below)!  and she is married to Prince Harry. I write erotica, and it pays the bills, so who cares! but that gave the Yotuuber another thing to cyberbully about that send his minions in motion to harass.  The question is, why? What is their point?

When will cyberbullying end? And in my article, I want to say the said woman was silenced by him so she can no longer defend herself. And worst of all of this? So many people think it is okay to cyberbully. When it isn't.

Youtube has their own definition of harassment:

Content that contains prolonged insults or slurs based on someone's intrinsic attributes. These attributes include their protected group status, physical attributes, or their status as a survivor of sexual assault, non-consensual intimate imagery distribution, domestic abuse, child abuse and more

The only way to get Youtubers to stop cyberbullying is to report them and stop watching their channel. Why do they cyberbully? It is because views=drama and often Youtubers who cyberbully are narcissists.

Remember:

Cyberbullying can be detrimental to a person's mental and physical health. Victims can experience significant social isolation and feel unsafe. It can lead to emotional and physical harm, loss of self-esteem, feelings of shame and anxiety, concentration and learning difficulties.
