Writing the “cumshot” Scene

When writing erotica, specifically gay erotica, nothing is more important than the point of orgasm or cumshot. For both readers and writers the cumshot should be the main focus of the story. There are some things as a writer you should consider when penning that all important climax scene.

One of the main things to consider when developing your story is which one of your characters is going to have the cumshot. Decide this early on and create your scenes and dialogue sequences accordingly. Everything that happens should revolve around this person. If you’re writing about a group of guys having sex and the hot six packed blonde is the one whose cumshot the reader will be experiencing then everything that happens in that sex scene should be about him. What is he feeling? Who is he touching? What is he thinking? It’s ok to describe the guys and the action going on peripherally as long as it’s through the point of the person who will be having the cumshot. As you get closer to that all important climactic moment, focus more on the main person until the cumshot happens.

Also, be sure to warn your reader when your character is getting close. This is a good opportunity to work in some hot dialogue. “Fuck baby I’m going to shoot…” “I’m gonna pop, I’m gonna fill you up!” However don’t get carried away with dirty dialogue in the climatic moment of your sex scene.. The place for your most intense dialogue is earlier in the story. The cumshot part of the story should be mainly descriptive. Trying to show extra emphasis should be avoided. Use only one exclamation point. Avoid stretching out words (i.e. FFFFUUUUCCCCKKK!!!) It just looks silly and unnecessary. Keep it simple and erotic and real. Let the cock do the talking. Elaborate on how it feels and describe in detail what is going on. Always remember that you are painting a mental picture.

When Your Characters Orgasm

Another thing to consider when writing your climax scene is to wrap up your story as soon as the sex scene is done. If you’re writing a group scene then try to tie up loose ends in the next few paragraphs. Once the main person has come if you decide to have any of the other characters in your story come, they should do so fairly quickly. If you drag out the scene the reader will most likely loose interest or become confused about whom your cumshot character is. Keep the orgasms at a realistic minimum. Everyone would like to think that a guy can come multiple times but if you want to give your reader believable fiction, steer clear of such fallacy. If your story is hot enough then one orgasm is all the reader will need. If you’re writing multiple chapters to a story then wait until the next chapter for your character to have another sex scene.

All these suggestions can be regarded or not depending on your level of expertise. However if you are a beginner or unsure about your writing skills, the best suggestion is to keep it simple. No one wants to read wordy elaborate prose that isn’t believable. Some of the most erotic moments in fiction happen in just a few paragraphs. Remember it’s the characters who drive a story. If your reader is involved in your character then he will feel the emotion and the passion in your sex scene.
